Softball Recap: Wilkes-Barre's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Wilkes-Barre never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Wyoming Valley West Spartans 12-0. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Wolfpack this season.

The team relied heavily on Grace Simko, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Hope Burke, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Wilkes-Barre always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wilkes-Barre's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Wyoming Valley West, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Wilkes-Barre will face off against Crestwood at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Wyoming Valley West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
