Baseball Game Preview: Scott Highlanders vs. Gibbs Eagles

The Scott Highlanders will head out on the road to square off against the Gibbs Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott hasn't scored more than a single run for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Scott fell victim to Anderson County and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 14-0 to the Mavericks.

Meanwhile, Gibbs came into Friday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Gatlinburg-Pittman get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Friday.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gibbs, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Scott suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Gibbs when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
