League recap: South Putnam tops Cloverdale to extend winning streak

South Putnam added to the longest winning streak in West Central this week by beating Cloverdale, 40-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Ryley Cook was the best wideout in the league this week as Greencastle bested North Putnam. Cook racked up 5 receptions for 59 yards. Nathan Tesmer helped Greencastle's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 51 yards.

The Tiger Cubs' Tyler Scott and Seth Brown have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Scott has thrown for 1,177 yards this season, while Brown, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 30 catches for 486 yards. Zac Butler from Cascade leads the league in rushing with 862 yards.

An important game coming up in West Central this week will be when Greencastle takes on the Clovers. Josh Buis' team is in second place, while Cloverdale is in fifth place.

The Tiger Cubs led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on the Cougars. Scott threw for 172 yards during the win.
