            Softball Recap: Wewahitchka Gators vs. St. John Paul II Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Vernon  on Thursday, Wewahitchka came back down to earth. The Gators took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. John Paul II Panthers on Tuesday. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won  12-0.
  Paityn Suber made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Jordyn Ashby, who  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
Wewahitchka has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record  this season. As for St. John Paul II, their record is now 8-12.
 Wewahitchka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. John Paul II, they will venture away from home to  take on FAMU DRS  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Baby Rattlers at the right time seeing as the Baby Rattlers are stuck on  a  ten-game losing streak.
