Cam Rembert and Chauncey Williams secure win for Westside

Recap: Westside Seminoles vs. Rutland Hurricanes

On Friday, the Westside Seminoles's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Rutland with a 55-50 victory. For Westside, this counts as revenge for the 57-56 loss Rutland walked away with the last time they faced one another two weeks ago.

Westside was led to victory by Cam Rembert and Chauncey Williams. Rembert scored eight points, while Williams dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Harden, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Westside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Rutland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Westside will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Howard at 7:30 p.m. Howard is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Rutland is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Westside at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd.
