After losing to Shadow Creek the last time they met, Manvel decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Manvel won by a run and slipped past Shadow Creek 3-2. That's two games straight that the Mavericks have won by just one run.

Manvel's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carley Williams, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory made it two in a row for Manvel and bumps their season record up to 10-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Shadow Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Coming up, Manvel will challenge Pearland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pearland will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Manvel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shadow Creek, they will welcome Dawson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
