The Dunbar Wildcats will take on the Glen Rose Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Dunbar will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points last Thursday, then bounced right back against Hillsboro on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles, posting a 56-14 victory. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kamron Lloyd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 174 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries. He has become a key player for Dunbar: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Detrick James, who picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Glen Rose took on Benbrook on Friday. The Tigers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 53-14 win over the Bobcats. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Dunbar better focus on containing Tyson Sullivan and Judd Connally as the pair were huge in Glen Rose's win. Sullivan gained 204 total yards and four touchdowns, while Connally rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. With that strong performance, Sullivan is now averaging an impressive 100.8 rushing yards per game.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Glen Rose proved: they limited Benbrook to a paltry 2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Gage Douglas for the heroic effort on defense: he. Glen Rose didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.7.
Glen Rose didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kaiden Shannon and Luke Males. Douglas was another major factor on D, picking up 2.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making 11 total tackles (5.0 for loss).
Dunbar's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Glen Rose, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-5.
Dunbar was taken down by Glen Rose 61-7 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Canyon Evans (who threw for 441 yards and five TDs while completing 79.4% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
