Potomac extends home losing streak to three

Recap: Potomac Wolverines vs. Oxon Hill Clippers

This season hasn't been kind to the Potomac Wolverines, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were beaten by Oxon Hill 88-3 on Thursday. Potomac was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-0.

Oxon Hill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Damia Worthy out in front who scored 12 points along with nine steals and six assists. The contest was Worthy's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Conteh, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Potomac's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Oxon Hill, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Potomac will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Oxon Hill will be home for the holidays to greet Bowie at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bowie is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
