Volleyball Recap: Clinton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Clinton waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knoxville T Trailblazers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Clinton was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-14, 17-25, 25-23, 15-10.

Clinton found their leader in freshman Alaina Staudenmaier, who had 20 assists and two aces.

Clinton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Knoxville T, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 28-4.

Looking ahead, Clinton will head out on the road to square off against Powell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Knoxville T, they will square off against Southeastern HomeSchool at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
