Recap: Warren Central Warriors vs. Center Grove Trojans
The Warren Central Warriors and the Center Grove Trojans squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Warren Central Warriors had to settle for second. Warren Central received a tough blow as they fell 14-0 to Center Grove. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warren Central in their matchups with Center Grove: they've now lost seven in a row.
Keith Jackson threw for 97 yards on only eight passes. Chazz Corley was his top target, picking up 138 receiving yards. On the ground, Jaylan Mcmoore rushed for 80 yards.
Noah Coy was the offensive standout of the contest as he picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Warren Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Center Grove, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Warren Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Center Grove will head out on the road to face off against Ben Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ben Davis is on a four-game streak of home wins, Center Grove a ten-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
