Volleyball Recap: Bryn Cook Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Idalia

Lone Star hadn't done well against Idalia recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Longhorns came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Lone Star had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.

Lone Star got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryn Cook out in front who had 17 digs. Those 17 digs gave Cook a new career-high.

Lone Star now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Idalia, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lone Star will square off against St. Francis at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Idalia, they will be playing at home against Bethune at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
