Maxwell extended their winning streak to seven on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 13-2 in the process. They came out on top against the Biggs Wolverines by a score of 9-5. The game was the first time the Panthers have beaten the Wolverines on their field since March 24, 2022.

Vincent Orozco was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Landon Barrett, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

As for Biggs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. Wolverines fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Maxwell since on Thursday.

On Biggs' side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Martin, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI. Cameron Kroupa also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maxwell will venture away from home to challenge Sutter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Biggs, they will head out to square off against Live Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
