Soccer Recap: A.L. Brown Comes Up Short

A.L. Brown lost against Lake Norman back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wonders came up short against the Wildcats, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, A.L. Brown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Lake Norman are ranked 26th).

A.L. Brown's goal came courtesy of Meleny Ballesteros, who's now up to six this season.

A.L. Brown dropped their record down to 5-10-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lake Norman, they moved to 9-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

A.L. Brown wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Cox Mill on the 22nd. As for Lake Norman, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against West Cabarrus on the 22nd.
