Basketball Recap: Jess Bowden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Riverside Christian over Sunnyside Christian

Riverside Christian lost against Sunnyside Christian on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Riverside Christian Crusaders fell 56-46 to the Sunnyside Christian Knights. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jess Bowden, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Micah Morgan, who posted 15 points.

Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Sunnyside Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside Christian will face off against Yakama Nation Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season. As for Sunnyside Christian, they will square off against DeSales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. DeSales will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Sunnyside Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
