Volleyball Recap: Alexander's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Alexander hadn't done well against Westfall recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Spartans blew past the Mustangs 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

While Alexander won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-22.

Meena Juedes paced Alexander's offense, picking up 12 kills. Juedes got some help from Laney Douglas and her 27 assists. Douglas also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lila Moser, each putting up two.

Westfall's loss came despite strong showings from Joni Snyder and Adrina Hicks. Snyder had seven digs and two aces, while Hicks had 11 digs. Snyder is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Alexander's record is now 21-3. As for Westfall, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

As of now, neither Alexander nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
