Softball Game Preview: Marlborough Panthers vs. North Middlesex Regional Patriots

The Marlborough Panthers will challenge the North Middlesex Regional Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Marlborough lost 13-1 to Nashoba Regional on Wednesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Middlesex Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Lowell Catholic, falling 19-2.

North Middlesex Regional saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Demers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Marlborough's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for North Middlesex Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Marlborough skirted past North Middlesex Regional 8-7 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
