Softball Recap: Willis' Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Willis put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Caney Creek Panthers as the Willis Wildkats made off with a 12-2 win. That's more bragging rights for the Wildkats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hadley Lebow was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Lebow was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Sydney Prihoda was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josie Foxworth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Willis' victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs over those games. As for Caney Creek, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Willis will be taking part in a tournament against Summer Creek at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Summer Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season. As for Caney Creek, they will square off against North Shore at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
