St. Stanislaus had won ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 2-0 to make it 11. They came out on top against the Resurrection Catholic Eagles by a score of 78-71. The Rock-a-Chaws have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

As for Resurrection Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (70), they still had to take the loss.

Resurrection Catholic's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was TYRESE RICARDO, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of SIMEON BALLARD, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

St. Stanislaus has already played their next contest, a 63-36 victory against Hancock on the 17th. As for Resurrection Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-43 win against Vancleave on the 20th.
