Softball Recap: Harlan County Takes a Loss

If Harlan County was riding high fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Middlesboro last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Black Bears fell just short of the Pineville Mountain Lions by a score of 2-1 on Monday.

Harlan County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aly Sherman, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Harlan County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for Pineville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8-1.

As of now, neither Harlan County nor the Mountain Lions have any future games scheduled.
