Basketball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier lost a heartbreaker to Chattahoochee when they met back in March of 2020, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Lanier Longhorns fell 71-60 to the Chattahoochee Cougars. The Longhorns haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Lanier now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Chattahoochee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Lanier will challenge Seckinger at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lanier knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Seckinger likes a good challenge. As for Chattahoochee, they will take on Roswell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chattahoochee has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three matchups.
