Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest lost against Park City back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Miners.

While Hillcrest ultimately came up short, they really made Park City work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-22.

Sergio Ibarra paced Hillcrest's offense, picking up ten kills. Ibarra got some help from Luke Gessel and his 21 assists. Elijah Santos controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hillcrest has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Park City, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Hillcrest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Tooele on the 24th. As for Park City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Stansbury on the 24th.
