Softball Recap: Sioux City East Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Sioux City East suffered their biggest loss since June 18, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Ames Little Cyclones, falling 13-3. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Black Raiders' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Sioux City East's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Ames, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Sioux City East didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Ballard on the 13th. As for Ames, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-4 defeat against Wahlert on the 13th.
