Softball Game Preview: Stillwater Ponies vs. East Ridge Raptors

The Stillwater Ponies will head out to challenge the East Ridge Raptors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Stillwater's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so East Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Stillwater is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering White Bear Lake just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 6-4.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither East Ridge nor Woodbury made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Raptors walked away with a 6-2 win over the Royals.

East Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Stillwater, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Stillwater skirted past East Ridge 2-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ponies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
