Football Recap: Lima Senior Skates Past Bowsher with Ease

Lima Senior had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Bowsher BlueRacers 45-9. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the BlueRacers are ranked 557th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lima Senior didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carmelo Mays and Jay Jones. Jones is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Mays got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lima Senior's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bowsher, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
