Softball Recap: St. Laurence Has No Trouble Against Mother Mcauley

While St. Laurence put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Mother McAuley. The Vikings put the hurt on the Mighty Macs with a sharp 11-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Laurence and bumps their season record up to 14-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Mother McAuley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. St. Laurence is set to square off against their familiar foe Fenwick at 4:05 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.4, the Friars 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Mother McAuley will take on rival Resurrection at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
