Softball Recap: Leyden Eagles vs. Glenbard North Panthers
Leyden extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 9-12 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glenbard North Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since April 19th.
Elise Bertsche made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
As for Glenbard North, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games.
