Brandon Saxby and Zeb Warnick provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Alliance Christian. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in VISFA Virginia Commonwealth this season.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Roanoke Catholic, 41-10. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Knights.
Isle of Wight Academy's dynamic duo of Saxby and Warnick proved tough for Alliance Christian to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Saxby threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns and Warnick had 97 yards receiving. Jackson Goodman helped Isle of Wight Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
Jonathan Biggs provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Kenston Forest lost to Fishburne Military. He completed 12 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 139 yards. Biggs' favorite target this week was George Flowers, who caught five passes for 87 yards.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's Stephen Bendele and Sam Drewicz have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bendele has thrown for 747 yards this season, while Drewicz, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 17 catches for 347 yards. Charles Belmonte from Brunswick Academy leads the league in rushing with 1391 yards.
The Chargers took down Alliance Christian 68-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Saxby in the win.
