Basketball Recap: Lavaca Comes Up Short

Lavaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a hard 59-40 fall against the Mansfield Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-29 back in January.

Lavaca's record now sits at 8-17. As for Mansfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Lavaca will welcome Booneville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
