Who's up and who's down

Game of Inches

After a comfortable win over Sanborn Regional in the match before, St. Thomas Aquinas might have felt a bit of anxiety in its most recent match. St. Thomas Aquinas won a game that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Milford 41 - 40. The result was just as the MaxPreps state rankings suggested, although the scoreline definitely wasn't as one-sided as expected. The razor-thin margin made this game the most thrilling one of the week.

Next Week's Big Game

If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Salem (7th in the power rankings) and Pinkerton (1st). Both teams are coming in hot off of wins in their previous games. Of course, Pinkerton and Salem can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
