Southwest Onslow barely beat Northside - Jacksonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stallions put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

While Southwest Onslow won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-19, 25-22.

Dixie Johnson paced Southwest Onslow's offense, picking up eight kills. Johnson got some help from Liliana Artiga and her 12 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Despite the loss, Northside - Jacksonville still got an impressive performance from Sa'Niyah Serrano, who had 17 assists and five digs. Serrano is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Southwest Onslow is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Northside - Jacksonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Southwest Onslow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Kinston on the 27th. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against White Oak on the 26th.
