Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. Wylie East Raiders

The Lakeview Centennial Patriots will venture away from home to face off against the Wylie East Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview Centennial is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Lakeview Centennial ended up a good deal behind Wylie and lost 66-47. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 696th, while the Pirates are ranked 135th).

Meanwhile, Wylie East unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Wylie 49-45.

Wylie East's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-9. As for Lakeview Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Lakeview Centennial took a serious blow against Wylie East in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 69-35. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lakeview Centennial was down 41-7.
