Volleyball Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. McKinley Bulldogs

Hoover won the last time they faced McKinley, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hoover Vikings walked away with a 3-1 win over the McKinley Bulldogs.

After all that action, the final score was 25-17, 25-23, 16-25, 25-15.

Hoover was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Teako Thompson and Jayla Brinson certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Thompson had 12 digs and 25 assists, while Brinson had 12 kills, nine digs, and six blocks. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will face off against Perry at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinley, they will venture away from home to take on Alliance at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
