Basketball Game Preview: Sandburg Eagles vs. Bremen Braves

The Sandburg Eagles will take on the Bremen Braves at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Sandburg came up short against Lincoln-Way East and fell 59-50. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Griffins recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bremen posted their closest victory since December 19, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Evergreen Park, sneaking past 68-65. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Bremen has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Sandburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Sandburg was able to grind out a solid win over Bremen when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 70-59. Will Sandburg repeat their success, or does Bremen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
