Football Recap: Handley Tigers vs. Saint James Trojans
After flying high against Cleburne County last Friday, Handley came back down to earth. The Handley Tigers fell just short of the Saint James Trojans by a score of 21-18 on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
The critical scores for Saint James came from Grant Phillips, Tabor Offord, and Chase Perry.
Handley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Saint James, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
Handley will be playing in front of their home fans against Munford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint James, they are taking a road trip to challenge Talladega at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint James is facing Talladega at the right time seeing as Talladega is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
