Baseball Recap: Key Beats Chapelgate Christian Academy for Their Second Straight Win

Key won the last time they faced Chapelgate Christian Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Obezags never let the Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Obezags might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

John Fisher was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Key: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Angus Lunt-Woodward, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Key always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .649. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Key and bumps their season record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
