Softball Recap: Bauxite Miners vs. Mills University Studies Comets
Bauxite got themselves on the board against Mills University Studies on Tuesday, but Mills University Studies never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Comets. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Kim Smith made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Bauxite got a massive performance out of Zoey Hicks, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave Hicks a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alysia Garner, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Bauxite's win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Mills University Studies, they moved to 5-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
