Basketball Game Preview: Paoli Rams vs. Perry Central Commodores

Paoli is 9-1 against Perry Central since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Paoli Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Perry Central Commodores at 8:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Paoli is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing New Washington: they outscored them in every quarter. Paoli beat New Washington on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 58-40. The win was familiar territory for the Rams who have now won four games in a row.

Jericho Hopper continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalyn Hannon, who posted 12 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Perry Central entered their tilt with Clarksville on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Generals 60-39. The Commodores have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Perry Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Paoli, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Paoli was able to grind out a solid win over Perry Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 43-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Paoli since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
