Durham and University Prep are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Trojans will square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Durham is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Paradise as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Joden Hoglund looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, Jack Stephens was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Drake, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, University Prep hadn't done well against Colusa recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the RedHawks a 3-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.
Not much got past Jacob Lindell, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Colusa off the board.
At the plate, University Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Wenham, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Durham is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for University Prep, their record is now 19-9-1.
Durham came up short against University Prep when the teams last played back in May of 2018, falling 12-7. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
