Softball Recap: Yough Takes a Loss

Yough lost to Mt. Pleasant two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yough saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kierstin Odelli, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Yough's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Mt. Pleasant, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Yough and Mt. Pleasant should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 117th) will meet Deer Lakes (ranked 262nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant will face off against Frazier at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (49 vs. 212).
