Soccer Game Preview: University Prep vs. Riverside Prep

The University Prep Jaguars will head out to square off against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, everything went University Prep's way against Lakeview Leadership Academy as University Prep made off with a 7-2 win. Rafael Carvallo was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy 4-1.

University Prep's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Riverside Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

University Prep beat Riverside Prep 2-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for University Prep since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
