Recap: Nova Titans vs. Piper Bengals
The Nova Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Piper 61-16 at home. The win was nothing new for Nova as they're now sitting on three straight.
Nova found their leader in underclassman Jaelynn Housey, who scored 36 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Housey has scored at least 25% of Nova's points. Another player making a difference was Jada Sinclair, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Nova pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Piper, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Nova will square off against Schoolhouse Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Schoolhouse Prep is ranked 120th, while Nova is ranked 100th). Piper and Fort Lauderdale will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Azaziah Evans-Blake and Tahlia Dolce.
