Basketball Recap: North Valleys Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

While North Valleys didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Pyramid Lake Lakers on Friday as the North Valleys Panthers made off with a 68-43 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season.

North Valleys had a senior duo take command as Kadyn Shackelford dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 boards and Joshua Collins went 9 of 18 on his way to 22 points and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shackelford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah White, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

North Valleys smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Pyramid Lake still got an impressive performance from Cash Hall, who put up seven points along with seven boards and five assists. Zeke Davis was another key player, putting up ten points.

The victory was the fifth in a row for North Valleys, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Pyramid Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

North Valleys wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-57 win against Lowry on the 14th. As for Pyramid Lake, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-43 victory against Mammoth on the 13th.
