Basketball Recap: Emmaus Takes a Loss

Emmaus lost against William Allen back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Emmaus Hornets came up short against the William Allen Canaries, falling 74-50. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 396th, while the Canaries are ranked 133rd).

Emmaus has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for William Allen, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Emmaus has already played their next contest (against Louis E. Dieruff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. William Allen will square off against Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in William Allen's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
