Baseball Recap: Pikeville Comes Up Short

Pikeville lost against Jefferson County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Pikeville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Jefferson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pikeville Panthers challenge Oak Ridge Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Ridge will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Pikeville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson County, they will face off against Science Hill at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
