Volleyball Recap: Ashley Cook and Rachel Caldwell Secure Win for Dominion Christian

Dominion Christian won the last time they faced Praise Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions.

Dominion Christian never let Praise Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading Dominion Christian to victory were Rachel Caldwell and Ashley Cook. Caldwell had 18 digs and two aces, while Cook had five digs and two aces. Those five digs gave Cook a new career-high. Norah Lytle also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Dominion Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Praise Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominion Christian will welcome Heritage at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Praise Academy, they will face off against Northwest Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
