Baseball Recap: Tolono Unity Starts off Right with Win over St. Teresa

Tolono Unity took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the St. Teresa Bulldogs 14-2. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Coleton Langendorf made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Langendorf was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Tre Hoggard was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Brayden Henry, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Tolono Unity will face off against Mahomet-Seymour at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Teresa, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Decatur Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
