Softball Recap: Dundee-Crown Takes a Loss

If Dundee-Crown was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Elk Grove on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers came up short against the McHenry Warriors on Monday, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 back in April.

Faith Dierwechter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Dundee-Crown has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for McHenry, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.

Dundee-Crown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-3 defeat against Jacobs on the 6th. As for McHenry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Central on the 6th.
