Basketball Game Preview: Deerfield Warriors vs. Lake Forest Academy Caxys

The Deerfield Warriors will face off against the Lake Forest Academy Caxys at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Deerfield turned things around against Grayslake North on Tuesday. They took down the Knights 48-33.

Meanwhile, Lake Forest Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions, sneaking past 60-57.

Lake Forest Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Deerfield, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-20.
