Volleyball Game Preview: Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders vs. Lower Brule Sioux

Sunshine Bible Academy and Lower Brule are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Crusaders are taking a road trip to square off against the Sioux at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lower Brule took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunshine Bible Academy, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row, Sunshine Bible Academy turned things around against Leola/Frederick on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Titans. The Crusaders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Sunshine Bible Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Lower Brule came up short against White River last Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Sioux have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20.

Lower Brule's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Sunshine Bible Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-20.

Sunshine Bible Academy took their victory against Lower Brule in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
