After flying high against John Paul II Catholic on Tuesday, Cape Fear Academy came back down to earth. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Hurricanes' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Cape Fear Academy took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 28-30, 18-25, 25-13, 15-3.
